Is this the official site for Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures?No, it isn't. This is a fansite dedicated to the universe of (New) Doctor Who, made by fans for fans.
Why isn't there anything about Doctor Who before the new series that started in 2005?
This fansite is specifically dedicated to the series that was started in 2005 and its spinoffs Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Of course sometimes the two do come together, most notably in the Doctor Who 2007 Children in Need special Time Crash, so there will always be some references to the old series.
Will you ever have a section on this site dedicated to the episodes featuring the first eight Doctors?
At the moment, I don't think so. The new series as well as the spinoffs keep me plenty busy right now that I don't see how I could find the time. Also, I have only seen a handful of episodes from the old series as well as the 1996 movie so I'm not that well versed.
I'm a huge fan of the old series of Doctor Who! If I become a staff member of the site, then will you create a section dedicated to it?
I don't want to say no as without the old series there wouldn't be a new series, however in addition to being a matter of time, it's also a matter of webspace available in accordance with pricing. If we could steal a Tardis, then I would say yes in a heartbeat but for now I really don't see it happening. Sorry!
Why are you referring to Matt Smith's first series as the Doctor as 'Series Five'?
While there has been some confusion with the numbering for Steven Moffatt's first series as executive producer and he has even suggested calling it 'Series Fnarg', we're calling it 'Series Five' as it is the fifth full series since Doctor Who returned to television screens in 2005. On a similar note, David Tennant's last episodes that aired as five specials between December 2008 and January 2010 will be refered to, on this site, as the 2009 Specials to avoid confusion with any other special episodes that have aired and may air in future.
Why isn't K9 the series a part of this site?
While K9 the series is technically a spinoff of Doctor Who, there are a number of reasons that went into the decision not to include it on the site. The main one, however, is that K9 the series is not produced by the BBC and therefore is not connected to, nor does it reference the new series of Doctor Who, Torchwood or The Sarah Jane Adventures.
Why isn't there a link to ___?
When I first started this website, I created the pages and typed up everything I was planning on having included on those pages. However, not all of those pages have been finished (or even started) but I have left those up to remind me of what I have to do to 'complete' the site.
Can I use your screencaps for graphics?
Absolutely, that is what they are there for! You can use the screencaps for anything you want but please don't archive them on your site and/or claim credit for them.
Can I help with the site? If so, how?
If you have the time/resources, I would love to have the help! The easiest way to help would be to send in news, images, graphics and other things of that sort or to donate some money towards layouts, hosting, etc. On the otherhand, if you have some time to spare, you might consider applying to become a staff member and help post news, build up the many pages of the site, update the gallery, and/or bring new parts of the site to life.
